In front of the unprecedented genocide against the Palestinian people, which is happening in Gaza at the hands of the Zionist occupation forces, and in light of the legendary defiance of the Palestinian people, the braveness and victory of the resistance, and the horrible developments, as well as their dangerous outcome and repercussions on the future of the region, and amid the lack of fairness and professionalism in the coverage of many media outlets of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the systematic media misleading attempts, and the occupation forces’ silencing of media voices in Gaza, destroying institutions, killing journalist, and censorship and prohibition of the media outlets; the resistance media in Palestine and the region played a key and pivotal role in this battle, in which its cadres and visual, written, and audio institutions took part in exposing this black propaganda, cementing the right of the Palestinian people to resist and defend its stolen rights, exposing the crimes and violations of the Zionist enemy to all ethical and humanitarian legislations and values toward which many have been silent, and instead justified them and defended them; even that the global uprising to defend Gaza has scored a decisive victory in the battle of narrative in favor of Gaza, displaying the true image of resistance in Gaza.
At the IRTVU:
1. We appreciate the efforts made by the Palestinian, resistance, and world media in the field coverage of the war on Gaza, exposing the Zionist occupation crimes against the innocent civilians, and its violations of all international humanitarian laws and doctrines; we also value the global media scene in support of the Palestinian people, the role of the world’s free activists, especially in digital media, in unveiling the media misleading, the fake ‘Israeli’ narrative, and the violations and crimes against humanity committed by the occupation forces through besieging and destroying hospitals, killing the premature babies, and displacing and terrifying civilians.
2. We praise the field correspondents on the different frontlines in the confrontation with the Zionist enemy, their role in displaying the true image of the developments in the field military operations, documenting the crimes committed by the Zionist military forces against unarmed civilians, and their targeting of hospitals, civil and medical facilities, UN shelters, thanks to them the fake Zionist narrative has been thwarted.
3. As we condemn the Zionist enemy’s targeting of press crews, the correspondents, and their families in Palestine and Lebanon, and destroying the Palestinian media institutions in Gaza, we also congratulate the families of the martyrs of media on the martyrdom of their relatives on the path of liberating al-Quds, with this great honor they have been given in the field for the sake of uncovering the crimes of this entity against humanity; they were indeed witnesses and messengers of truth in the field of confrontation.
4. We denounce and condemn all attempts of misleading and fabrication by some political leaders, and some Western and Zionist media, in circulating a fake narrative, which we consider incredible as they have lost much of their popularity and audience by distancing themselves from the truth; we also slam combatting the Palestinian content which is practiced by social media companies.
5. We appreciate the efforts of all media institutions and centers in Palestine and the world, at the IRTVU and the equal organizations, which covered the event since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and contributed with all its cadres and teams, journalists, correspondents, and analysts, to uncover, write, and document all media information and reports, analyses and assessments related to the developments in the battlefields on all fronts, and offered sacrifices and efforts in support of the Palestinian cause and the defiant Gaza.
6. We praise and appreciate the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza and its support for the resistance, backing its choices and supporting it in all levels since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood; we admire their painful sacrifices in which the blood of the martyrs will write a new victory in which the strong and oppressed people integrate with their victorious resistance. We also support all of their choices to achieve the freedom of the Palestinian people and restore their legitimate rights.
7. We call on all the honorable media figures, activists and influencers, media outlets, educated people, and the elite, and all media, political, and cultural figures, as well as the international organizations, to shed more light on the crimes of the Zionist entity and the defiance of the Palestinian people and resistance, and to exert every possible effort required according to the situation in the occupied Palestine.
8. The Supreme Council, with its Chief, and the IRTVU Secretary General, thanks all bodies, organizations, and different media outlets and figures which gave a hand in covering the developments. We promise the martyred journalists that will follow in their footsteps and pursue their causes in international and humanitarian platforms to keep their flame radiant.
