After the failure of the Israeli military aggression and the genocidal war to drive the Palestinian people out of their land or force them to renounce their rights, and after the great popular sympathy around the world with the Palestinian cause, the countries complicit in this war of aggression are deliberately committing new violations, and persistently punishing the Palestinian people for their steadfastness and resistance to extermination and displacement, and preventing the access of their voice to the world, through a joint American-European decision, to block the Palestinian Al-Aqsa satellite channel from all satellites, and threatening any satellite hosting Al-Aqsa Channel with penalties and large financial fines.
Accordingly, the Islamic broadcasting and television Union emphasizes the following:
- The union strongly condemns this dangerous measure, and declares its solidarity and standing with all its capabilities on the side of Al-Aqsa Channel, to ensure its continued performance of its media mission, and its defense of the oppressed Palestinian people.
- The Federation affirms that this action is a clear violation of all international conventions and norms, especially Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of human rights and the International Covenant on civil and Political Rights, which was approved by the United Nations in 1966.
- The union calls on the competent international institutions to put pressure on the parties that made this illegal and inhumane decision to immediately reverse it, and instead of punishing the Palestinian people for their steadfastness in front of the killing machine, to pursue the perpetrators of crimes in Gaza and their accomplices, and ensure that they do not go unpunished for their crimes against humanity, especially those committed against media workers and media institutions in Palestine, which have been documented by free media institutions, including Al-Aqsa TV.
- The Union stresses that this step reflects the double standards adopted by these countries by keeping silent about the genocide, the killing of hundreds of journalists and attempts to block the voice of the Palestinian people, in exchange for allowing hate speech to be broadcast against this oppressed people, opening the media space to incite against it, and depriving it of its right to defend itself and its land.
- The union calls on all free media in the World, International and humanitarian institutions, and all media professionals, artists, activists and influencers around the world to do their part in confronting this dangerous step, which can establish subsequent steps against all those who stand up to the crimes of the Israeli occupation, and threaten all those who oppose this occupation and the countries complicit with it.
- The Federation stresses that such violations will not obscure the truth, the free Palestinian voice and the Palestinian narrative, and will not discourage the free media from performing its lofty tasks and mission, but on the contrary, will increase its determination to perform its tasks more.
- The Union salutes and appreciates the Palestinian media professionals and Palestinian media institutions, especially the Al-Aqsa satellite channel, its management and its employees, which suffered the complete destruction of its headquarters and lost 25 martyrs from its cadres during the war of extermination that the Palestinian people were subjected to in Gaza, but despite all this, it did not stop performing its tasks and continued to convey the voice of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian narrative.
Please accept the highest respect and appreciation
