A Statement Issued by the Islamic Radio and Television Union about The Ceasefire Deal in Gaza

The Islamic Radio and Television Union congratulates the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world and all the free people on the major victories of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the battles of support, which were fought by the forces of the Axis of Resistance. The IRTVU highly appreciates the defiance and sacrifices of the Palestinian people and the peoples of Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran, which they offered in this epic battle that produced a victory sealed with blood, giving, and dignity, despite the genocidal crimes committed meanwhile.

The IRTVU greets and appreciates the Palestinian media, the media of resistance, and the free media across the world for their great efforts in covering the war over 15 months despite the hard and tragic conditions, and on every front. The IRTVU also praises the Palestinian journalists and the journalists of the Resistance Axis who sacrificed themselves to uncover the truth, who some of them were martyred, writing the most noble stories of sacrifice and loyalty, while others were injured and detained, reflecting the most sublime meanings of defiance and steadfastness to let the world hear the voice of the Palestinian people and the peoples of the region. They continued their professional coverage and performing their national and humanitarian role in the face of the crimes against humanity, especially in the cities of the Gaza Strip. They succeeded in reflecting those crimes to the entire world, amid the ‘Israeli’ systematic targeting of journalists and media institutions.

As the IRTVU greets the knights of the word and the image, who sacrificed more than 200 martyrs and hundreds of wounded, and sacrificed for the sake of letting the voice of the Palestinian people be heard, despite destroying their media institution and press equipment, it underlines the following:

First: Inviting media across the world, especially the IRTVU members, for the widest field and direct coverage of the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza, and covering the impacts of the ‘Israeli’ aggression and crimes, and shedding light on the sacrifices and steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and their victory against the war machine and the destruction

Second: Shedding light on the efforts of journalists and activists across the world, who supported the Palestinian people, especially the journalists and media outlets within the fronts supporting Gaza, who offered the dearest sacrifices for the sake of letting the voice of the Palestinian people and peoples of the region be hears, and to defend their cause

Third: Inviting the rights and humanitarian bodies and organizations, and the international community, to try the ‘Israeli’ occupation army for its crimes against humanity and guarantee that it won’t escape punishment, especially for its crimes against journalists during the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood and the Battle of the Brave

Fourth: Supporting the Palestinian media in the Gaza Strip with all available means and capabilities to recover and continue its message and voice, especially the media institutions that the occupation destroyed, as well as the wounded and detained journalists who offered sacrifices during the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood

Fifth: Seeking to confront the misleading media campaigns and to refute them in documented facts and field evidence, and publishing them on different media platforms to cement the true narrative of the events during the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood

Kindly do accept the utmost respect and appreciation
The IRTVU Secretary General
Ali Karimian
