The painful tragedy that has hit the Islamic World, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the deep sorrow it has left for this bitter loss, and given the position of the martyr and his distinct role in leadership and service, the Islamic Radio and Television Union, in its name, and on behalf of all the radio and TV institutions, and fellows working at the IRTVU General Secretariat, centers, and related institutions, and in the name of the free journalists, extend the most sublime condolences to the Iranian people and leadership on the martyrdom of President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi and his dear companions; may Allah bestow his widest mercy upon them. And on this occasion, the IRTVU is issuing the following statement:
1. The IRTVU has felt the pain of this sorrowful tragedy in which an exceptional figure has been lost. The position of this personality has been clarified through the personification of the entire principles of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He has also followed the footsteps of the founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, and its Leader, His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei (May Allah Protect Him), who was his supporter and backer.
2. The great man we lost was a noble model of humanity and a symbol of the popular leading figure that seeks the society’s services and luxury. He was also a guardian of the Arab and Muslim causes, namely the sacred cause of Palestine, adopting it with all its dimensions, and being committed to supporting whatever boosts the values of justice, and the strengths and capabilities of peoples, against hegemony. His work has been prominent in supporting the values of freedom, justice, and defending the oppressed.
3. The IRTVU calls on all media institutions to pay attention to this international figure, and to benefit from the model of his humanitarian, missionary, and practical behavior, as well as his
unique administrative vision in serving the Iranian people and cooperating with the regional countries. It also calls on them to shed light on his role, achievements, visions, and values.
4. Shedding light on his vision and support for missionary media institutions, and the clear services he offered to the Islamic media production, which encouraged enhancing the freedom of media and press in the Islamic Republic and the regional countries, and presented an honest and missionary content based on his vision that media contributes to building the society and the state, in addition to being a leading element in the development of peoples and achieving their might.
5. The IRTVU misses the martyred president in several spots where he was interactive with our ambitions, hopes, and projects, and it will remain loyal to the giving of the martyr as well as his school in serving people.
6. We are honored to offer condolences to all journalists in the Islamic Republic, the family of the martyr, and the families of all accompanying partners, as well as the entire Iranian people on this painful tragedy.
