The Islamic broadcasting and television union strongly condemns the Israeli military targeting of the broadcast sites belonging to the Lebanese media group, represented by Al-Manar channel and Al-Nour Radio, in the Tomat Niha area, which led to the destruction of civilian facilities used for purely informational purposes.
This aggression represents a grave violation of international law and comes as part of a repeated series of Israeli attacks on the Resistance media, in an open attempt to suppress the free voice and obscure the different narrative.
The Federation stresses that attacks on media institutions protected under international humanitarian law are crimes that require clear international condemnation and accountability of the perpetrators before the competent authorities.
The union calls on all international media and human rights bodies to take a clear and effective position to protect media workers, and to work hard to prevent the recurrence of such attacks that threaten the future of the media and the Free Press in our region.
Please accept the highest respect and appreciation
