In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“Those who convey the messages of Allah and fear Him, and fear none but Allah. And sufficient is Allah as a Reckoner.”
Allah the Almighty has spoken the truth.
On the second anniversary of the passing of the Master of the Nation’s Martyrs, the revered martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and his companion, the Hashemite martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, may their souls be sanctified, the Islamic Radio and Television Union recalls the life of an exceptional leader who left a profound mark on the nation’s reality and collective consciousness. He stood firm during one of its most sensitive periods, steadfast in confronting occupation and aggression, defending its causes—foremost among them Palestine, the liberation of occupied Lebanese territory, and the support of the oppressed.
The late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may Allah be pleased with him, embodied a leader who combined clarity of vision, firmness of conviction, presence in the field, and the ability to address peoples and generations in the language of dignity, sovereignty, and justice. His role extended beyond the arenas of confrontation into the realm of public awareness. He understood that words, images, and narratives are an essential part of the struggle, and that preserving the truth and preventing its distortion is a responsibility of equal importance.
In this light, the Islamic Radio and Television Union recognizes the importance that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah attached to the media, particularly resistance media, and his belief in the power of words to build awareness, protect memory, inspire resolve to resist, and keep the nation’s causes present among rising generations. His speeches have remained in the hearts and minds of millions because of their clarity of position, steadfastness in confronting occupation, and commitment to keeping the nation’s causes alive among its peoples and active forces.
His remarkable and beloved character, together with his heartfelt, reasoned, and responsible words, had a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of millions. He was, and will remain, the foremost media leader on the resistance front and in the effort to make the truth known. The same can be said of the Hashemite martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, who followed the path of his companion and close confidant.
As this anniversary arrives, the Islamic Radio and Television Union renews its commitment to its media responsibility: preserving the lives and stories of the martyrs, safeguarding memory, documenting sacrifices, and defending the truth against attempts to erase, distort, or falsify the facts. It affirms that media entrusted with this responsibility does more than cover events. It helps build awareness, protects causes from being forgotten, and conveys them to future generations faithfully and responsibly.
The passing of the Master of the Nation’s Martyrs, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, did not end his presence in the public consciousness. Rather, his life, path, and legacy have become an enduring responsibility and a renewed source of spirit for media and cultural institutions, and for all who see the media as a space for protecting the truth and standing with peoples and their rights.
On this painful anniversary, the Islamic Radio and Television Union extends its deepest expressions of loyalty and appreciation to all who loved His Eminence, including honorable media professionals and his esteemed family. It also remembers his companion, the Hashemite martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, may Allah be pleased with him, and his esteemed family. We ask Allah Almighty to embrace them both in His boundless mercy, grant them a place in His spacious gardens, and gather them with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous.
